The Song Goes On

And I am enjoying the music.

My husband and I are traveling to Gladstone where he will perform a wedding for one of our best friends, whose first wife passed away after a battle with breast cancer over two years ago. We are so happy that he has found someone to love. I know his first love will be rejoicing that he is no longer alone.

My husband and I love to sing, and we will be singing together at the wedding for the first time in many months. Singing is something else I "gave away" when I was enthralled in my addictions. It is a total delight to have practiced together and lift our voices in harmony once again.

My prayer is that the harmony of our music will spill over into our lives, making them resonate with a new melody that will unfold like a beautiful flower. I ask God to direct me and teach me to be the kind of wife and woman He wants me to be.

One of my favorite prayers when I don't like how something is going, or how someone is acting is "Bless Them. Change Me."  Lord, as I struggle to accept some of the intricate issues that are rampant in my life right now, let that be my prayer.

Always Lord, "Bless Them. Change Me."
