We spent two wonderful days and two wonderful nights together, on this journey of reacquaintance. Both of us were able to express some things positively and without hurt on either part. The time together was such a "God thing."
The wedding was special, and it was a blessing to see our friend begin a new journey with a lovely woman. We will always miss our dear friend (his first wife who died of breast cancer two years ago) but know she is happy in Jesus' presence, and happy for her earthly love.
Recently, I have been thinking a lot about music, harmonies, melodies and such. Both due to this weekend and also because of musing about another dear friend of mine, my heart sister, who used to make beautiful music with me. Somehow, along our voyage, we sort of lost our way, and our music was silenced. Now we have reconnected and will be seeing each other soon for the first time in years. I am so excited to see her, to have her back in my life, and I can hardly wait for us to blend our voices and our spirits together again.
Jesus - thank you for the gift of restoration. Thank you for "restoring the years the locusts have eaten," as promised in Joel, Chapter 2. Thank you that we don't have to wait for Heaven to enjoy this perfect delight. Your Word is the very best music - full of beautiful melodies and enthralling harmonies. I hope to sing the message of your Word all my days.

Caro, my heart friend, how glad I am that you are making music. I think it is the outpouring of a heart given to God. I am so looking forward to seeing you and singing with you. I have missed our music and my friend I miss you. I am very grateful for the chance to reconnect.
