Dancing Through the Land Mines
Sometimes my life seems fraught with unseen dangers. There are hidden places, waiting to explode with little provocation and I find I am paralyzed by dread.
I can choose to sit, huddled and frightened beside life’s path—unable to advance and too afraid to retreat.
Or, I can set aside those nameless doubts, grasp my Savior’s hand and dance my way through the land mines.
There is this so called safe way to live, even tho’ remaining secure, but stagnant, can be can be the most dangerous choice; for in doing nothing, I risk losing everything to the tyranny of fear.
Instead, I can choose my own dance steps, as I embrace my future and in doing so, I might gain all.
So, will I sit or will I dance?
I think I’ll do the Charleston.
I think I’ll do the Charleston.
And because of who my Dance Partner is, I can safely follow His lead. We will arrive home, perhaps disheveled and out of breath, but intact and full of enchantment and joy.
Today, I choose to dance through life’s land mines!
Wonderful!!!
