This woman knows there is much still buried and that these hidden places are different from the empty places of her soul. She understands that the empty places correlate closely with what is still lurking beneath the surface. The woman she wants to be bravely faces those silent covered places, un-wrapping them carefully, with help from those who have gone before. She will not hurry; she will not try to reveal too much too quickly, so as not to be overwhelmed and bewildered. She knows those buried places carry much power, and if not cared for properly, with guidance from her Abba, her Father-God, and from those who willingly love and support her, they could yet destroy her.
The woman she wants to be is strong and bold, yet careful and thoughtful, mindful of the pitfalls. She cares deeply for herself, especially her wounded self, and she chooses not to push her help, her healing, away. She is honest, not just by refraining from lying, but by living her life openly, leaving it bare for others to examine. She is unafraid at what they will see. She is confident in her own abilities to see to her own needs, but is eager to ask for help if she needs it. And she knows it is ok to express her wants, as well. She knows what is good and joyfully seeks it out. She is willing, even desires, to give herself away to others, by sharing what she has learned, and by providing a strong arm to help prop others up when they are weak.
She is at peace walking the same journey others have taken and in forging ahead, leading still more to a place of healing and safety. She loves deeply——her God, herself, her family and friends and she knows she is equally loved, for she understands and believes to her very core, that she is worth it. She is valued and respected. She is honorable.
The woman I want to be already exists
within me.
It is my sacred duty to free her.
